Hi, everybody.
I would like to share the information about Coursera with you.
For more information about MOOCs including Coursera, please refer to the previous article.
Here’s how you can actually register for Corsera and take the course.
Create a Coursera account
Let’s open Coursera first.
Create an account from the “Join for Free” icon in the upper right corner.
You can also register with a google account, Apple account, or Facebook account, but this time I will explain the process of creating an account from scratch.

Once you have finished typing, you can start the lectures.
Course selection and lecture start
After you log in, you will see a screen that looks like this and you can select a course from the search box in the top left corner.

I’m going to take a specialized programming course, “Python3 programming”.

Go ahead and click on “Enroll for Free”.
Then you’ll see a page where you can enter your credit card information.
If you want a free trial, you don’t need to enter. Click “Start a Free Trial” below!

Of course, if you want a certificate of completion, you’ll need to pay for it and register your credit card information.
Deactivating your subscription is easy at the touch of a button, and there is a one-week grace period.
About the actual course
There are three main courses.
- Course
- Specialized courses
- Degree certification courses
The courses are grouped together with the syllabus content until you gain some skills based on the syllabus content.
Specialized courses are grouped together to give you a certain level of skill in a particular field.
Degree-accredited courses are literally courses that lead to a degree. Therefore, some of them fall under the category of entrance exams.
After the lecture
There are tests at the end of each lecture and in the middle. If you pass them, you will receive a “certificate of completion” if you are in the paid version.

You can also share the “certificate” you get on social media.
Summary: It takes 5 minutes from registration to enrollment to get started right away!
All you need is a computer, an internet connection, an email address. You can start right away. This is the time to start improving your skills because this is the time to hunker down with the coronavirus.
Coursera has very good lectures, mainly on programming.Even as a programming beginner, I was able to make some things. There are many other courses available, so regardless of whether you register or not, it’s fun to see just what classes are available.
If you’re interested, check them out on Coursera.
